About Mirror Portbase

A Practice of Careful Looking

Mirror Portbase exists to make chart reading slower, more explicit and easier to review.

Portrait of a professional mentor in a quiet study

Why the practice began

Mirror Portbase grew from a recurring problem in trading study groups: participants could name patterns but could not explain which timeframe governed the decision. Charts accumulated indicators while the simple questions—where is price, what would confirm the scenario, and what makes it wrong—remained unanswered.

The practice was established in Tbilisi to teach a clearer sequence. “Portbase” describes the anchoring idea: before crossing into a smaller chart, return to a stable reference point on the larger one.

Your mentor

Levan Abashidze leads all private sessions and workshops. His teaching draws on more than a decade of personal market study, chart journaling and peer review across equity indices, major foreign-exchange pairs and liquid digital assets. He is an educator, not an investment adviser, broker or portfolio manager.

Credentials in this field are easy to overstate. Mirror Portbase makes a narrower promise: definitions will be written down, chart decisions will be reconstructed from the information available at the time, and uncertainty will never be disguised as certainty.

Working principles

Context before trigger

A lower-timeframe pattern earns attention only when its higher-timeframe location is understood.

Invalidation before position

The chart thesis must state where it fails before an entry is discussed. Suitability, capital allocation and execution remain the client’s responsibility.

Review before expansion

One repeated error deserves attention before another indicator or setup is added.

Privacy by default

Shared charts should exclude balances, account numbers and personal records. We need the decision, not access to the account.

Relationship with learners

Sessions are direct and collaborative. You may be asked to defend a mark, remove a level or explain why a particular candle matters. The objective is not agreement with the mentor; it is a chart process you can state, test and revise independently.
